What is an entity?

An entity is a particular person, place, or thing. An entity typically corresponds to a record in a spreadsheet or an object in an API response. More granular requests generate responses with more records. Imagine a business with one brand with ten corresponding locations. A request for the card revenue about every location of that business will return a response with 10x the number of records as a request for the card revenue for the brand as a whole.

Do I have to specify a tier for data I request from Enigma?

No. For each request, Enigma automatically determines the tier of the attributes you requested and their corresponding credit value.

How are Attribute Credit Tiers different from Enigma Console plans?

The Enigma Console is a rich user interface for exploring Enigma's data. Enigma Console plans include monthly credit budgets that are automatically applied to your data usage. Once you have utilized your monthly credit budget, you can pay as you go for any additional data you use.

How do I access Enigma's data?

Sign up for the Enigma Console to access Enigma's data. The Enigma Console is where you manage your Enigma account, including your API keys and credit usage. Select the Free plan if you would only like to pay for the data you use without a subscription.

How will I know how many credits I've used each month?

Log in to your account to view your usage tracking dashboard. This dashboard will show you how many credits you've used during the current and past billing cycles.

Will I be charged for data I view in the Enigma Console?

Yes. Our credit system is designed so you only pay for the specific data you access. Every action in the Console, like a search or viewing a profile, is a query that consumes credits. For example, viewing a detailed company profile with 2 operating location records and displaying Premium attributes would use 11 credits (5 for the one brand's Premium data + 6 for the two locations' Plus data). You can always see your real-time credit usage on your account dashboard so there are never any surprises.
